Concluding our 2025 AI & the Future of Work Roundtable Series, SODI and Monash University hosted the fourth roundtable on November 19, 2025. This interactive session brought together researchers, practitioners, technologists, and organizational leaders to explore the linkages between GenAI adoption and reinforcement of gender stereotypes in the workplace. Presentations from two leading researchers anchored a robust roundtable discussion focused on policy, equity, and organizational responsibility.

Research Talks

Solène Delecourt
Solène is an Assistant Professor at UC Berkeley. Her research is at the intersection of strategy and organizational behavior and primarily focuses on gender and entrepreneurship. Her research agenda focuses on what drives variation in profits across firms and how inequality can be reduced in business performance among entrepreneurs in different market settings. Her research has appeared in academic journals such as Nature, Management Science, and the Strategic Management Journal, and has been featured in newspapers like the Wall Street Journal. She earned her PhD in Business Administration from Stanford University.

Phyliss Jia Gai
Phyliss is an Assistant Professor in Marketing at the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. Her research focuses on digital consumption, such as how consumers interact with recommender systems. She also studies moral judgement and decision-making, consumer self-control and the interplay between them. She uses a mix of methods in her research including field studies, lab experiments, and archival analyses. She holds a PhD in marketing from Rotterdam School of Management of Erasmus University.
